ReplyDelete"5. Make Art when you don't really feel like making Art." The top one IMO. If you can put out some art when you're miserable - any other time is cake.

ReplyDeleteYES. And thank you!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many days when I say "if only I would be like Nick..." Nick is my 12 year old son. If he could he would play video games ALL DAY!!! EVERYDAY!!! He wakes and dresses early for school some mornings so he can play before the bus gets here. He wants to play all evening and heaven forbid we have to go somewhere...the point is, if I were that serious about painting...
ReplyDeleteThanks Kesh, I am truly lucky to have connected to u! Thanks for the boost , needed it

ReplyDeleteI work full time as an artist and I teach children art. When the kids want to know how to get better I tell them it's like playing the piano, you have to practice all the time. You may be born with natural talent but you need to do it all the time to improve. I love your blog. I've spent my break reading it. Wonderful. Thanks for sharing. Mary-Pinkflamingo61
ReplyDeleteps, just sent you a friend request on facebook.
Thank you! Seriously - this is exactly what we need to hear sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI'll add #11: Get off the internet, it's a time suck. Set aside a specific time each day for catching up on blogs, etc. and stick to it.
And on that note, I'm off to do some sewing :)
I'm gonna make the list into a poster and hang it in the studio. Thanks Kesha.
